Nina Dewar, MA, Clinical Hypnotherapist
I am passionate about helping people to make positive, lasting changes and supporting them to live the life that they really want for themselves. I am a certified Clinical Hypnotherapist having studied at the Academy of Hypnotic Science in Melbourne, the biggest government accredited training provider for Clinical Hypnotherapy.
My aim as a therapist is to create a safe, confidential and calm space to explore and work through issues like anxiety, stress, grief, depression, habit control, disordered eating patterns, stopping smoking and to support my clients change and transform. My approach is holistic – I am very interested in the mind body connection – and individualistic – I tailor my approach to suit each client according to their presenting issues and personality. I am also trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and in Strategic Psychotherapy (Human Givens approach).
Hypnosis can help you make the changes that you desire on a deeper, subconscious level and enable you to take control of your life and create the life that you have imagined.

What's the difference between hypnotherapy and other forms of psychotherapy?
Jessica Sawyer, BHSc (GDip Psych.), Clinical Hypnotherapist & Strategic Psychogtherapist
I work from a feminist perspective and am particularly passionate about women’s mental health and supporting members of the community to improve their emotional wellbeing holistically. After having studied psychology and trained in mindfulness based approaches whilst working in the education and community sectors, I spent more recent years working in the family & domestic violence space. It was here I became more aware of the common experience of work-place burn out amongst frontline workers and was eventually inspired to change my career pathway. I trained at industry leader The Institute of Applied Psychology to become a government accredited Clinical Hypnotherapist and Strategic Psychotherapist. My aim is to create a nurturing and safe space for all clients, and believe the combination of Mindfulness, CBT, Strategic Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy is an approach that can best support clients to learn the new skills they need to achieve lasting and impactful change. I tailor sessions to each individual client and view emotional and mental health holistically to promote self-determination and empowerment. My particular areas of interest include Mind Gut Health, Anxiety & Depression and Burn-Out, and can support clients with a range of other issues including habit change, stress, sleep difficulties, phobias and fears, body image, self-worth and grief. I currently work only with clients who identify as female.
